What our customers say

Ruben was excellent when I was having drain issues. He was quick, explained everything throughly, and made sure I knew what my options were. A wonderful experience I just put an offer in on a home and wanted someone to check the place out for me and HEP was there! Not only was every technician that came out friendly, but they made sure I understood everything that was being told to me! They gave me clear and honest opinions about my AC, Roof, and electrical. They told me what was wrong, how to fix it, an approximate on how much it would be and even advice to make sure I get the most out of my repair life. I'm a first time home buyer and they made me feel confident enough about the condition of my home to be able to make a sound decision on it. I'll recommend them to everyone I know!

Olin was fantastic. Friendly and arrived early after calling to say he would be coming out earlier than planned. I will leave another review after the work is done but we are looking forward to working with your company to get our roof taken care of. Thank you.

HEP was prompt in getting our job estimated and starting work. We had them replace a patio roof and perform some other minor repairs on the roof. They came out on Saturday, and Jason walked through everything, explaining the rationale behind his recommendations. They were exactly in line with existing recommendations from our home inspection, so I had confidence that he was giving his honest opinion and not just trying to upsell. Due to a clerical error, they removed our entire roof by accident, but replaced it at no cost. They immediately notified me when this happened and got it rectified right away. They were honest and transparent through the whole process. After the completion of the work, I notified them of a couple of punch list items and they knocked them out quickly without me having to pester or make a scene like you would with a less reputable contractor. This is the kind of contractor that you keep around. Reliable, easy to contact, responsive, and honest. I am a very independent DIYer, but if I can't do it, my first call will definitely be to HEP. . Thanks Jason and everyone at HEP.

We have used HEP in the past for plumbing and also some roof issues. Because of this, they offered us a free roof inspection. The tech (Tim Lawson) that came out was on time (actually a little earlier than expected), was very helpful and knowledgeable. He took his time to explain the repairs that we will be needing to our roof, offered affordable pricing and was very professional. I would recommend this company as they are fair in price and have knowledgeable, friendly , professional employees. Thanks HEP and Tim Lawson.

We (Leroy and Helen Queen, my parents) had our leaky roof replaced by HEP at the end of July 2019. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish: from Joshua who recommended HEP for our roofing needs, to Jason our Sales Rep who measured and then inspected the finished work, to Chris in the office who helped us with the financing, to the crew of men that came out and did a marvelous job removing, installing, and then tidying up afterwards. We were mightily impressed; they worked so quickly. We highly recommend giving HEP a call for your roofing needs based on our own experience with them. They all worked really hard and quickly to get us a new roof; something we very greatly appreciate. Thanks HEP!

Metal Roofing Expertise in Jacksboro

Metal roofing in Jacksboro, Tennessee, demands an experienced hand and an intimate understanding of the Cumberland Plateau’s unique climate. HEP brings both to every project, combining years of technical knowledge with a refined craftsperson’s eye. Whether the roof shelters a cozy residential cottage or a large commercial facility, the team approaches each installation with the same commitment to structural integrity, energy performance, and aesthetic appeal. By tailoring system specifications to the valley’s seasonal extremes—scorching midsummer sun, sudden autumn storms, and occasional winter ice—HEP ensures that finished roofs remain watertight, resilient, and visually pleasing for decades.

The HEP Approach to Durable Metal Roofs

HEP’s methodology begins with a comprehensive site evaluation. Roofing consultants perform a detailed analysis of existing deck conditions, structural load capacity, and ventilation paths. They then recommend a panel profile, underlayment type, and fastening method that aligns with the building’s architecture and the homeowner’s long-term goals. During this phase, clients receive clear explanations of gauge thickness, coating technology, and color selections. A systematic workflow—anchored by precise measurements, digital modeling, and in-house fabrication—minimizes waste and enhances installation speed while keeping service quality at the forefront.

Advantages of Metal Roofing in Campbell County Climate

Residents of Campbell County encounter high humidity, periodic hail, and heavy rainfall events. A metal roof installed by HEP counters these challenges by offering:

  • Superior wind uplift resistance due to interlocking panels
  • Non-porous surfaces that shed rain rapidly, reducing leak risk
  • Class A fire ratings that add a critical safety layer during dry spells
  • High solar reflectivity coatings that cut cooling loads in peak summer

These benefits translate into lower maintenance demands, reduced energy expenditures, and greater peace of mind for property owners across the county.

Material Options Offered by HEP

HEP supplies an array of premium metal roofing materials designed to meet diverse architectural visions:

  • Standing seam panels in galvanized steel, aluminum, and copper
  • Corrugated agricultural panels for outbuildings and barns
  • Stone-coated steel shingles that mimic slate or cedar shake aesthetics
  • Custom Kynar-500 coated panels available in vibrant and earth-tone palettes

Each product line undergoes rigorous testing against salt-spray corrosion and UV degradation, ensuring performance longevity in Jacksboro’s variable microclimates.

Step-By-Step Process HEP Follows for Metal Roof Installation

From the first inspection to the final fastener, every phase of a HEP metal roof install is choreographed to limit disruption and uphold industry best practices.

Inspection and Preparation Phase

Technicians inspect sheathing for rot or delamination, probe insulation levels, and verify rafter spacing. Problem areas are documented with photographs. Any compromised decking is replaced, and ventilation pathways are improved to meet modern code requirements. Proper preparation prevents moisture entrapment and extends the lifespan of both the metal panels and the underlying structure.

Precision Fabrication and Delivery

Once measurements are approved, panel lengths are roll-formed at HEP’s fabrication facility. This controlled environment guarantees consistency in seam geometry and coating thickness. Accessories—ridge caps, snow guards, drip edges, and custom flashings—are fabricated simultaneously to ensure perfect color matches. Panels are packaged in protective film, labeled by roof section, and transported on specialized trailers that prevent bowing or edge damage.

Installation Day Workflow

On the scheduled day, crews stage materials strategically to avoid landscaping impact. Underlayment is unrolled and mechanically attached, forming a secondary water barrier. Starting at the eave, panels are positioned with laser-aligned precision and secured using concealed clips or color-matched screws, depending on profile. Field seams are mechanically crimped to create a watertight bond. Valleys, skylight frames, and pipe boots receive sealed flashings, and ridge vents are integrated to allow continuous exhaust of attic heat and moisture.

Post-Installation Quality Checks

The job is never considered finished until a supervisor conducts a final walk-through. Using infrared cameras and moisture meters, they verify that seams are sealed, fasteners are properly torqued, and flashing intersections are watertight. Debris is cleared from gutters and ground areas, leaving the property in pristine condition. A detailed report—complete with photographs and maintenance recommendations—documents every step for the owner’s records.

Maintenance and Restoration Services for Existing Metal Roofs

HEP’s commitment extends far beyond new installations, offering maintenance packages that keep existing metal roofs performing at their peak.

Common Issues Addressed

  • Loose or backed-out fasteners that compromise panel stability
  • Failed sealant beads around penetrations leading to leaks
  • Surface oxidation on older galvanized panels
  • Hail dents that may introduce stress fractures over time

Technicians correct these issues swiftly, utilizing manufacturer-approved sealants, stainless fasteners, and precision straightening tools.

Preventive Maintenance Plans

A scheduled maintenance program typically includes semi-annual inspections, on-the-spot sealant renewal, and debris clearing from valleys and gutters. Catching minor problems early prevents costly repairs and extends the functional life of the roof, making preventive care a sound investment for homeowners and facility managers alike.

Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Benefits

Metal roofing is more than a protective shell; it actively contributes to a structure’s energy performance and environmental footprint.

Reflectivity and Thermal Performance

High-quality cool roof coatings reflect a significant portion of solar radiation, lowering attic temperatures during blistering Jacksboro summers. When paired with adequate insulation, this translates into reduced HVAC run times and a noticeable decrease in utility bills.

Recyclability and Reduced Waste

Unlike many traditional roofing materials that end up in landfills, metal panels are nearly 100 % recyclable. When a roof eventually reaches the end of its service life, the panels can be melted down and reformed into new products, supporting a circular economy model that aligns with broader environmental goals.

Safety and Compliance

Adherence to strict safety guidelines and regulatory codes is non-negotiable on every HEP project.

Adherence to Local Building Codes in Jacksboro

HEP maintains up-to-date knowledge of Campbell County wind uplift ratings, snow load requirements, and fire classifications. Permit documentation is meticulously prepared, ensuring that all installations meet or exceed local code standards.

On-Site Safety Protocols

  • Mandatory use of fall arrest systems on roofs exceeding six feet of height
  • Daily equipment inspections and job-site safety briefings
  • Clearly marked drop zones to shield occupants and pedestrians from overhead work
  • Proper handling and disposal of sharp metal scrap

These measures safeguard property, crew members, and residents throughout the project timeline.

Why Homeowners and Businesses in Jacksboro Choose HEP

The reputation HEP enjoys across Jacksboro springs from a blend of technical expertise, transparent communication, and steadfast reliability.

Local Knowledge and Quick Response

Team members live and work within the same communities they serve, which fosters a rapid mobilization capability when storms strike. Familiarity with local microclimates enables more accurate project planning and material selection.

Skilled Workforce and Ongoing Training

Roofing technicians participate in regular training sessions covering the latest fastening systems, coating technologies, and safety standards. This culture of continuous improvement ensures that each project benefits from cutting-edge techniques.

Warranty Support and Long-Term Peace of Mind

Warranty coverage is only as meaningful as the company standing behind it. HEP’s in-house service division remains available for inspections and warranty repairs, preserving the investment value of every installed roof.

Integration With Other Exterior Services

A metal roof often interfaces with other exterior systems, and HEP coordinates these connections seamlessly.

Gutter Systems Compatibility

Properly sized, color-matched aluminum or steel gutters prevent water from cascading down siding, reducing foundation risk. HEP evaluates slope, downspout placement, and leaf guard options during roof design.

Skylight and Ventilation Add-Ons

Curb-mounted skylights and solar tubes enhance daylighting without compromising roof integrity. Ridge vents and powered attic fans can be integrated into the roof assembly for optimized airflow.

Storm Damage Repair Coordination

When severe weather damages roofing, siding, or windows simultaneously, HEP synchronizes repairs for cohesive aesthetic and functional restoration, ensuring no detail is left unattended.

Tips for Preparing Your Property for Metal Roof Work

A few proactive steps simplify the installation process and safeguard both property and possessions.

Site Access and Clearance

  • Relocate vehicles, trailers, and outdoor furniture from the driveway and perimeter
  • Unlock gates and provide unobstructed pathways to service entries
  • Ensure pets are secured indoors or at a neighbor’s home

Clear access accelerates material staging and reduces installation time.

Protecting Landscaping

Homeowners often choose to cover delicate flowerbeds with breathable tarps. HEP also deploys plywood ground shields to prevent equipment from compressing turf or damaging walkways.

Communicating Schedule With Neighbors

Informing adjacent property owners about anticipated noise and equipment presence fosters goodwill and prevents misunderstandings during the project timeline.

Understanding Metal Roof Lifespan in the Cumberland Plateau Region

While national averages suggest a 40- to 70-year lifespan for quality metal roofs, localized conditions influence actual service longevity.

Weather Patterns Impact

Jacksboro experiences heavy precipitation and occasional hailstorms. A high-grade metal panel with a resilient coating resists impact but still benefits from periodic inspections to detect hidden dents or coating breaches.

Maintenance Influence

Consistent clearing of organic debris from valleys preserves water flow and ventilation, preventing underlayment saturation. Proper upkeep can add years—if not decades—to the service life of a metal roof.

Typical Replacement Indicators

  • Widespread coating degradation exposing raw metal
  • Multiple seam breaches allowing water infiltration
  • Structural decking decline evident underfoot

Identifying these signs early paves the way for planned replacement instead of reactive emergency measures.

Architectural Styles in Jacksboro That Pair Well With Metal Roofing

Metal roofs complement a variety of building styles prevalent in the region, adding both functional and aesthetic value.

Modern Farmhouse

The crisp lines of standing seam panels enhance the clean silhouettes of modern farmhouse designs. Matte black, charcoal, or dark bronze finishes create striking contrasts against white board-and-batten siding.

Craftsman and Bungalow

Smaller Craftsman homes benefit from textured stone-coated steel shingles that replicate cedar shake without the upkeep. Earth-toned palettes blend harmoniously with native stone accents and wood trim.

Commercial and Light Industrial Buildings

Large-span metal buildings in retail or manufacturing sectors often leverage galvalume panels for cost-effective durability. HEP specifies striated or ribbed profiles that reinforce strength while providing a sleek façade.

Importance of Professional Installation Over DIY

Attempting a metal roof installation without specialized training often leads to complications that outweigh any perceived savings.

Structural Integrity Considerations

Improper fastening patterns can introduce stress points that deform panels, create oil-canning, or compromise wind resistance. Professional crews adhere to manufacturer-specified fastener spacing and penetration angles.

Warranty Protection and Insurance

Most panel manufacturers require proof of certified installation to honor product warranties. A professionally installed roof, therefore, safeguards not only the structure but also the warranty coverage essential for long-term financial protection.

Specialized Tools and Techniques

Standing seam panels often require mechanical seaming machines calibrated to particular crimp pressures. Ridge z-closures, offset clip systems, and butyl tape application demand a level of precision that standard DIY toolkits rarely provide. HEP’s investment in specialized equipment ensures optimal performance and longevity for every roof they install.
