FAQs
What does your lifetime workmanship warranty cover?
Our lifetime workmanship warranty guarantees that all labor performed on your roof—including installation, flashing, ventilation, sealing, and fastening—meets or exceeds industry standards for as long as you own the property. If a leak, defect, or performance issue arises due to our workmanship (not product failure or external events), we will repair it at no cost to you, including materials, labor, and clean-up.
How does the lifetime workmanship warranty differ from manufacturer material warranties?
Manufacturer warranties only cover defects in the roofing products themselves (shingles, underlayment, membranes, etc.). Our lifetime workmanship warranty covers the quality of the installation and all labor‐related aspects. If a leak is caused by improper nailing, flashing, or ventilation errors, the manufacturer will not pay for it—but we will. In many cases, our workmanship warranty and the manufacturer’s material warranty work together, giving you comprehensive protection for both labor and materials.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my home?
Yes. Our lifetime workmanship warranty is fully transferable once within the first 10 years after the installation date. To transfer, the new homeowner simply needs to notify us in writing within 60 days of the property transfer, providing proof of purchase and a copy of the original warranty. After the transfer, the warranty remains in force for the remainder of the original period (lifetime of the roof) but is no longer transferable again.
What steps should I take after noticing storm damage to ensure my warranty remains valid?
1) Contact us immediately—within 72 hours if safely possible—so we can perform a free storm‐damage inspection. 2) Avoid attempting DIY repairs; unqualified work can void the warranty. 3) Document the damage with photos or video for insurance purposes. 4) Secure the area to prevent further damage (for example, place tarps if it can be done safely) and let us handle permanent repairs. Prompt reporting and allowing our certified crew to complete repairs keeps your lifetime workmanship warranty fully intact.
Does the warranty include assistance with insurance claims for storm damage?
Absolutely. While the warranty itself covers workmanship issues, we provide complimentary claim assistance for storm damage. Our certified inspectors will meet with your adjuster on-site, supply detailed damage reports, and advocate for the full scope of necessary repairs. Any workmanship-related repairs uncovered during this process are performed under warranty at no cost to you; storm-related repairs outside workmanship are submitted to your insurer.
Are there any maintenance requirements or exclusions that could void the lifetime workmanship warranty?
To keep the warranty valid, the roof must be: • Properly maintained—clean gutters, clear debris, and prevent moss buildup. • Inspected by us or a qualified professional at least every 3–5 years or after major storms. • Free from unauthorized alterations—solar panel installations, satellite dishes, or skylights added without our approval can void coverage in that area. Exclusions include damage from acts of God beyond code requirements (e.g., tornadoes, hurricanes exceeding design specs), fire, vandalism, or neglect. Normal aging of materials is covered by manufacturer warranties, not workmanship coverage.
