FAQs
What types of roofing warranties do you offer for roof replacements in Ten Mile?
We provide a two-tier warranty package on every replacement: (1) a manufacturer’s material warranty that covers shingles, underlayment, and accessories for up to 50 years against manufacturing defects, and (2) our own 25-year, non-prorated workmanship warranty that backs every aspect of the installation. Together, these warranties give you protection against both product failure and installation issues for decades.
How does your industry-leading warranty differ from standard manufacturer warranties?
Standard manufacturer warranties often become prorated after 10 years and cover only the materials. Our enhanced warranty stays non-prorated for the full 50 years, includes tear-off, disposal, and replacement labor, and is fully backed by the shingle manufacturer because we are a factory-certified installer. On top of that, our 25-year workmanship warranty fills the gap most manufacturers leave, ensuring you have zero out-of-pocket costs if a leak is traced back to installation.
What exactly is covered—and not covered—under your workmanship warranty?
Covered: roof deck fastening, flashing installation, underlayment, shingle fastening patterns, ventilation components, ridge and hip caps, and any leak that originates from our installation work. Not covered: damage due to severe weather events beyond code specifications (e.g., tornadoes, hail larger than 2”), foot traffic, alterations by other contractors, or lack of routine maintenance such as debris removal from valleys and gutters.
How do I register my new roof’s warranty, and how long does the process take?
We handle registration for you. Once final payment is received, we submit all documentation—material lot numbers, photos, inspection checklist, and your homeowner information—through the manufacturer’s online portal. You will receive a confirmation email and a printed certificate in the mail within 2–3 weeks. The workmanship warranty is activated automatically on the date of final inspection.
Can the warranty be transferred to a new homeowner if I sell my property?
Yes. Both the manufacturer’s enhanced coverage and our workmanship warranty are fully transferable one time within the first 15 years at no charge. Simply notify us and the manufacturer within 60 days of closing, and we’ll update the records. After transfer, the remaining years of coverage stay intact, adding resale value and peace of mind for the new owner.
What maintenance must I perform to keep my roof warranty valid?
1) Inspect and clear gutters and valleys at least twice a year; 2) trim overhanging branches to prevent abrasion; 3) avoid pressure-washing shingles; 4) schedule a professional roof inspection every 3–5 years, or after severe storms; 5) promptly repair any external structures, such as satellite dish mounts, that could compromise the roof. Keep records of maintenance and inspections—digital photos and receipts—for quick warranty service if you ever need it.
