FAQs
What does your Written Workmanship Warranty cover on a new roof in Soddy-Daisy?
Our Written Workmanship Warranty covers every aspect of the installation we perform—flashing, shingle placement, underlayment, ventilation components, fasteners, and all roof-to-wall transitions. If a leak or other problem occurs because we installed something incorrectly, we will repair the issue at no cost to you, including any labor or material needed to restore the roofing system to its intended condition.
How long is the workmanship warranty valid, and when does it start?
The workmanship warranty is valid for 10 full years from the date we complete your roof installation and perform the final walkthrough. The coverage starts the day you sign off on the completion certificate, not the day materials were delivered or the first shingle was nailed.
How is a workmanship warranty different from the manufacturer’s material warranty?
The manufacturer’s warranty protects you against factory defects in shingles, underlayment, and other products, while our workmanship warranty protects you against installation errors. If a shingle fails because it was produced incorrectly, the manufacturer supplies replacement materials. If a shingle fails because it was nailed in the wrong place or the flashing was not sealed properly, our workmanship warranty pays for both labor and materials to correct the problem.
What is the process for filing a workmanship warranty claim if I notice a leak?
Simply call our Soddy-Daisy office or fill out the warranty request form on our website. We schedule an inspection—usually within 48 hours for leaks—document the issue with photos, and verify that the problem is workmanship-related. If it is, we authorize repairs immediately and complete them within 7 business days, weather permitting. You pay nothing for covered repairs, and we send you a written confirmation once the work is finished.
Is the workmanship warranty transferable if I sell my home?
Yes. The warranty may be transferred once within the 10-year term for a $150 administrative fee. The new homeowner receives the remaining balance of the warranty period, along with all documentation and instructions on how to file claims if needed.
Does the warranty cover code upgrades if local building requirements change?
If Soddy-Daisy or Hamilton County adopts new roofing codes after we install your roof, our workmanship warranty still covers labor and material to correct installation-related issues, but it does not automatically include the cost of bringing the entire roof up to new codes. However, during any warranty repair we will advise you of code changes and provide upgrade options at discounted rates so you stay compliant and protected.
