FAQs

What types of material warranties do you offer for new roofs in Sequatchie?

We provide two primary material warranties: a Standard Manufacturer’s Warranty and an Enhanced System Warranty. The Standard warranty (usually 25–30 years) covers manufacturing defects on shingles or metal panels. The Enhanced System Warranty, available when we install the full roofing system to the manufacturer’s specifications, extends coverage to 50 years, adds protection for underlayment, vents, and flashing, and may include limited wind and algae resistance.

How long is the warranty on new seamless gutters and gutter guards?

Our aluminum seamless gutters come with a 20-year manufacturer’s finish warranty against peeling, cracking, or blistering of the baked-on paint. The hidden hangers and fastening hardware have a lifetime rust-free guarantee. If you add our stainless-steel micro-mesh gutter guards, they include a 25-year clog-free warranty that ensures free-flowing water or we will clean the section at no charge.

Does the material warranty also cover labor or workmanship issues?

Material warranties protect you only against defects in the roofing or gutter products themselves. To cover installation-related issues, we pair every project with our 10-year Workmanship Warranty. If a leak or gutter failure results from our installation practices within that period, we repair it at no cost, separate from— and in addition to—any manufacturer material warranty.

Are storm damage and extreme weather covered under the warranties?

Standard material warranties do not cover damage caused by hail, tornados, or wind events exceeding the stated limits (typically 110–130 mph for roofing shingles). However, many Enhanced System Warranties include upgraded wind coverage up to 150 mph as long as the roofing system was installed to high-wind specifications. For broader protection, we recommend carrying homeowners insurance with adequate storm coverage; we can assist with documentation for any claims.

Can the roofing or gutter material warranty be transferred if I sell my house?

Yes. Most shingle and metal roofing manufacturers allow a one-time transfer of the material warranty to the next homeowner within 60 days of property transfer. Our seamless gutter and guard warranties are also transferable. Simply notify us or the manufacturer (per the warranty card) and submit the required transfer form. Transferring the warranty can add resale value and peace of mind for potential buyers.

What steps should I take to keep my warranties valid?

1. Register the warranty within 30–60 days of installation—our office will help you submit the paperwork. 2. Schedule an annual inspection to document roof and gutter condition; regular maintenance records protect your coverage. 3. Keep the roof and gutters free of debris and avoid unauthorized repairs. Alterations performed by non-certified contractors can void parts of the warranty. 4. Report any issues as soon as they appear. Waiting too long may cause secondary damage that is not covered. 5. Maintain adequate attic ventilation and insulation. Poor ventilation can overheat shingles and void the manufacturer’s warranty.
