Choosing HEP means choosing total peace of mind. Our industry-leading warranties protect your investment in metal roofing for decades, covering both materials and workmanship so thoroughly that unexpected repairs become a thing of the past. From the first consultation to the final inspection, we document every step, ensuring your new roof meets or exceeds strict manufacturer standards—an essential requirement for keeping your warranty iron-clad.

Because Pioneer weather can shift from blazing sun to driving rain in a heartbeat, we designed our coverage to match the climate’s extremes. High-temperature fade protection, wind-lift resistance up to 140 mph, and leak-proof guarantees are all standard. If a storm ever tests your roof’s limits, a single call activates our rapid-response service team; we handle claims in-house, sparing you the usual red tape.

Most important, your warranty is transferable, boosting property value should you decide to sell. It’s one more way HEP turns metal roofing into a long-term asset rather than just another home improvement project—proof that “roof it and forget it” really is possible.

FAQs

What makes Pioneer’s metal-roofing warranties “industry-leading”?

Pioneer combines multiple layers of protection into one package: a Lifetime Limited Warranty against manufacturing defects, a 40-year finish warranty against chalk and fade, and up to a 120-mph wind-uplift warranty when the panels are installed to specification. Very few manufacturers offer all three coverages together, and even fewer back them with the financial strength and longevity of a company that has been in business for more than 30 years.

Exactly what is covered under the Lifetime Limited Warranty?

Our Lifetime Limited Warranty covers panel integrity, meaning the steel will not crack, split, rot, rust through or otherwise structurally fail under normal residential conditions for as long as you own your home. It also includes protection against manufacturing defects in seams, fastener slots and factory-applied sealant strips. If a defect is confirmed, Pioneer will either repair or replace the affected panels—including labor—at no cost to you.

Is the warranty transferable to the next homeowner if I sell my house?

Yes. The Lifetime Limited Warranty is fully transferable one time within the first 10 years after installation. The new owner receives the same remaining years of coverage on material and finish, although workmanship coverage resets to five years from the transfer date. To transfer, simply complete the Warranty Transfer Form and submit a $100 administrative fee within 60 days of closing.

What ongoing maintenance is required to keep the warranty valid?

Minimal maintenance is needed: (1) keep gutters and valleys clear of debris, (2) rinse the roof annually with low-pressure water to remove airborne pollutants, and (3) avoid any contact with dissimilar metals or treated lumber that can cause galvanic corrosion. Always use non-abrasive cleaning agents; harsh chemicals or pressure-washing above 1,500 psi can void the finish warranty. Detailed care instructions come with your warranty packet and are available on our website.

How do I file a warranty claim if I think there’s an issue?

Contact Pioneer’s Warranty Services Department by phone or through the online claim form within 30 days of noticing a potential problem. Provide your original contract number, photographs of the area in question, and a brief description of the issue. We will schedule an on-site inspection within 14 business days and issue a written determination within 30 days after the inspection. Approved claims are typically resolved—repair or replacement—within 60 days.

Will hail, high winds, or extreme temperatures void my warranty?

No. Our metal panels are UL 2218 Class 4 impact-rated and warrantied against perforation from hail up to 2" in diameter. The wind-uplift warranty covers speeds up to 120 mph (upgradeable to 150 mph with optional fastening patterns). The finish warranty is tested to withstand temperature swings from –40 °F to 200 °F without cracking or peeling. Damage resulting from events that exceed these tested limits (e.g., tornadoes, hurricanes above Category 3) falls under homeowner’s insurance rather than the product warranty, but ordinary severe weather will not void your coverage.
