FAQs
What does your workmanship guarantee cover on a roof replacement?
Our workmanship guarantee protects you against any installation-related defects on your new roof. If a leak, shingle blow-off, flashing failure, ventilation problem, or any other issue is traced back to the way we installed the roofing system, we will make all necessary repairs—at no cost to you—until the problem is resolved. The guarantee is strictly focused on labor and installation practices; it does not duplicate the manufacturer’s warranty on the roofing materials themselves.
How long does the workmanship guarantee last for Oak Ridge homeowners?
We back every full roof replacement with a 10-year workmanship guarantee starting on the date of completed installation. For those first 10 years we assume 100 % responsibility for any workmanship-related issues. Many of our shingle manufacturers also offer extended material warranties of 25–50 years, so you’re protected by both labor and material coverage for decades to come.
How is a workmanship guarantee different from a manufacturer’s material warranty?
A manufacturer’s warranty covers factory defects in the shingles, underlayment, or accessories (for example, premature granule loss or membrane failure). A workmanship guarantee, on the other hand, covers human error—anything that results from how the roof was installed. If an improperly driven nail causes a leak, the manufacturer will not pay for that repair; our workmanship guarantee will. When you have both warranties in place, virtually every aspect of your roof is protected.
What should I do if I notice a leak or other problem after the roof has been replaced?
Call us right away. We keep detailed records of every project in Oak Ridge, including photos and installation notes, so we can quickly trace the source of a problem. One of our technicians will inspect the area within 48 hours, determine whether the issue is workmanship-related, material-related, or storm-related, and then perform the appropriate repair. If it’s covered by our workmanship guarantee, you will pay nothing—no service fee, no materials, no labor.
Is the workmanship guarantee transferable if I sell my home?
Yes. Our workmanship guarantee is fully transferable one time within the 10-year coverage period. All you need to do is notify us in writing within 60 days of closing, provide the new owner’s contact information, and we’ll issue an updated certificate. A transferable guarantee can add value to your property and give prospective buyers added peace of mind.
Do I need to register or pay additional fees to activate the workmanship guarantee?
No. Your workmanship guarantee is automatically activated the day we complete the final inspection and you sign the certificate of completion. There are no hidden activation or maintenance fees. Just keep your paperwork in a safe place and contact us if you ever need service; we’ll already have your project information on file.
