FAQs
What types of warranties do you offer on roof repairs and replacements in Karns?
We provide two main warranty layers. First, every roof repair or replacement comes with our in-house 10-year workmanship warranty that covers labor-related issues such as leaks caused by installation errors. Second, we install manufacturer-certified products that carry limited lifetime material warranties (usually 30–50 years, depending on the shingle line). Together, these give you industry-leading protection on both materials and workmanship.
How does your workmanship warranty differ from the manufacturer’s warranty?
The manufacturer’s warranty covers defects in the roofing materials themselves—for example, premature shingle cracking or granule loss due to a factory flaw. Our workmanship warranty, on the other hand, protects you against problems that arise from the installation process, such as improper flashing or nail placement. If a leak occurs because a crew member made a mistake, we fix it at no cost to you—even if the materials are still perfectly sound.
Are your warranties transferable if I sell my home in Karns?
Yes. Both our workmanship warranty and the shingle manufacturer’s warranty are fully transferable one time within the first 10 years after installation. To transfer, you simply notify us (and the shingle manufacturer) in writing within 60 days of closing. This boosts your home’s resale value by giving the next owner documented peace of mind.
What is not covered under your roofing warranties?
While our warranties are comprehensive, they do not cover damage caused by acts of nature (hail, tornadoes, fallen trees), neglect (failure to perform routine maintenance like gutter cleaning), or unauthorized roof modifications. Normal wear, color fading, and interior damage that occurs before we are notified of a leak are also excluded. We’re happy to explain these exclusions in detail during your consultation so there are no surprises later.
How do I file a warranty claim if I think there’s an issue with my roof?
Call our Karns office or fill out the warranty request form on our website. We’ll schedule a free on-site inspection within 48 hours. If the problem is covered under our workmanship warranty, we repair it at no cost. If it appears to be a material defect, we handle all documentation, photos, and communication with the shingle manufacturer to expedite your claim—usually resolving it within 2–4 weeks.
Does registering my warranty cost anything or require additional paperwork?
Registration is free and simple. After your project is complete, we submit all paperwork electronically to the shingle manufacturer and email you a copy of both the manufacturer’s and our workmanship warranties. You’ll receive a registration confirmation number within two weeks—no extra fees, no hidden steps.
