What does your industry-leading metal roofing warranty cover?
Our warranty provides dual protection: a Limited Lifetime Material Warranty from the manufacturer and a separate 10-year Workmanship Warranty from our company. The material portion covers defects in the steel substrate, factory-applied coatings, and resistance to cracking, chipping, chalking, or excessive fading. The workmanship portion guarantees the integrity of our installation, including fasteners, flashings, and watertight seals, giving you comprehensive peace of mind.
How long is the warranty period for a metal roof installed in Helenwood?
The manufacturer’s Limited Lifetime Warranty remains in force for as long as you own your home. In addition, the Kynar 500® paint finish is warrantied for 40 years against chalk and fade. Our in-house Workmanship Warranty covers installation-related issues for 10 full years from the completion date, far exceeding the state minimum requirements.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my Helenwood property?
Yes. Both the manufacturer’s material warranty and our workmanship warranty are fully transferable one time within the first 10 years of installation. To transfer, the new owner simply completes a short form and submits it to us within 60 days of closing. This feature can add real resale value to your property.
Do I have to register my metal roof warranty after installation?
To activate the manufacturer’s coverage, you must register the warranty within 30 days after the final inspection. We handle most of the paperwork for you—once the job is complete, you’ll receive an email link to confirm your details and e-sign the registration. We automatically record your workmanship warranty on the same day.
How does Helenwood’s climate affect the warranty?
Helenwood experiences high humidity, occasional hail, and wind gusts that can exceed 90 mph. Our standing-seam and screw-down metal panels are UL-tested to resist winds up to 140 mph, and hail up to 2 inches in diameter. Because the products are rated well above local weather extremes, the manufacturer honors the full warranty without exclusions for typical Helenwood conditions.
What maintenance is required to keep the warranty in force?
Metal roofs are low-maintenance, but the warranty requires basic care: (1) keep the surface free of debris and standing water; (2) inspect the roof and gutter system twice a year and after major storms; (3) remove any branches or foreign objects promptly; and (4) use only non-abrasive cleaning agents if washing the panels. Any repairs must be performed by a certified contractor or the warranty could be voided.
