FAQs
What is a “no-pressure” roof inspection and how does it work?
A no-pressure inspection means one of our certified roofing specialists will examine your roof, attic, gutters, and exterior envelope without any obligation or sales tactics. After documenting the roof’s condition with photos and notes, we provide a written report and recommendations. You decide if and when to proceed with repairs or replacement—no on-the-spot contracts, deposits, or “today-only” discounts.
How much does the inspection cost, and what’s included?
The inspection itself is completely free. It includes: (1) a full walk-over of the roof surface, (2) inspection of flashing, vents, and penetrations, (3) gutter and downspout check, (4) attic ventilation and insulation review, (5) moisture-meter readings where needed, and (6) a detailed condition report with high-resolution photos. You keep the report whether you hire us or not.
How long will the inspection take, and do I need to be home?
Most inspections take 45–60 minutes for an average-sized home. You do not have to be present, but we recommend being available at the end so the specialist can walk you through the findings and answer questions. If you can’t be there, we’ll email the report and schedule a follow-up call at your convenience.
What happens if you find damage or a leak?
Your report will outline the location, severity, and probable cause of any issues, along with repair options and budget ranges. Minor repairs (such as resealing a flashing) can often be scheduled within 24–48 hours. For major storm or age-related damage, we can assist with insurance documentation and provide a fixed-price proposal—but only when you ask for it. There is never any obligation to proceed with us.
Will the inspection affect my roof warranty or homeowners insurance?
No. A visual inspection performed by a qualified contractor does not void manufacturer warranties or impact insurance coverage. In fact, most shingle makers and insurers recommend annual inspections to maintain warranty eligibility and reduce the risk of costly claims. If an insurance claim is warranted, our inspection report supplies the documentation adjusters need.
