What types of roofing warranties do you offer in Elora?

We provide three levels of protection. 1) A manufacturer’s shingle warranty that guards against factory defects. 2) Our 10-year workmanship warranty that covers any installation–related issues. 3) An optional 50-year non-prorated system warranty (backed by the shingle maker) that bundles material and labour coverage for complete peace of mind.

How long do your workmanship and material warranties last?

Our standard workmanship warranty is 10 years from the date of installation. Material coverage depends on the shingle line you choose: architectural shingles carry a limited lifetime manufacturer warranty (prorated after 15 years), while designer shingles include a 50-year non-prorated option when installed as a full roofing system. Extended coverage up to 25 years on workmanship is available at an additional cost.

Are your warranties transferable if I sell my home?

Yes. Both our workmanship warranty and the manufacturer’s warranty can be transferred once to the next homeowner within the first 10 years at no charge. The new owner simply completes a short transfer form and provides proof of ownership within 60 days of closing to keep the warranty in force.

What does your ‘robust warranty’ cover—and what is not covered?

Covered: leaks caused by installation errors, premature shingle failure, wind damage up to the shingle’s rated speed, and roof deck rot that arises from an installation defect. Not covered: damage from hail or fallen branches, alterations made by other contractors, inadequate attic ventilation added after our install, neglect (e.g., clogged gutters), or interior damage that occurs before we are notified of a leak. We always perform an on-site inspection to determine cause.

How do I register and maintain my warranty?

We handle the initial registration with the manufacturer for you and send a confirmation e-mail within two weeks. To keep the warranty valid, you must: 1) retain our final paid invoice; 2) keep gutters clear and trim overhanging branches; 3) have a visual roof check every two years (free through our Roof-Check program) and document any maintenance. Failure to follow routine maintenance may void portions of the coverage.

What is the process for filing a warranty claim, and how quickly are repairs completed?

Call our 24/7 warranty line or submit a claim through our website. We will schedule an inspection within 24 hours for emergencies or within 3 business days for non-emergencies. After confirming eligibility, most repairs are completed within 72 hours (weather permitting). All workmanship warranty repairs are free; manufacturer warranty claims may require a modest processing fee that is reimbursed if the defect is confirmed.
