FAQs
What types of roofing warranties do you offer in Deer Lodge?
We provide two layers of protection: a manufacturer’s material warranty—covering shingle defects for up to 50 years—and our own 10-year workmanship warranty. When combined, you’re protected against both product failure and installation-related issues.
How long does the warranty coverage last?
Our preferred manufacturer’s limited lifetime warranty protects your shingles for as long as you own your home, with a non-prorated period of 50 years. Our workmanship warranty is valid for 10 years from the installation date, ensuring any labor-related problems are corrected at no cost to you.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my home?
Yes. The manufacturer’s warranty is transferable once within the first 15 years of ownership, and our workmanship warranty transfers automatically within its 10-year term. Proper transfer paperwork must be filed within 60 days of the home sale to keep the coverage intact for the new owner.
What does the warranty not cover?
Neither warranty covers damage caused by acts of nature (e.g., hail over 2 inches in diameter, tornadoes, or earthquakes), improper maintenance, or alterations performed by other contractors. Routine wear, interior water damage, and ice-dam related issues are also excluded. We recommend regular inspections to catch concerns early.
Do I have to register the warranty after installation?
We handle the manufacturer’s warranty registration for you and provide written confirmation within 30 days of project completion. Your workmanship warranty is automatically active once your final inspection is approved and your invoice is paid in full. Keep all documents with your home records.
What maintenance is required to keep my warranty valid?
Annual roof inspections, gutter cleaning, and prompt removal of debris are required to preserve full warranty protection. Any repairs must be completed by a certified installer. Failure to maintain proper attic ventilation or to address excessive moss growth may void coverage, so we include a maintenance checklist in your closing packet.
