FAQs
What does your “iron-clad” roofing and siding warranty actually cover?
Our iron-clad warranty offers two levels of protection: (1) a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty that covers defects in the shingles, metal panels, or siding boards themselves, and (2) a 25-year workmanship warranty that guarantees every aspect of our installation—flashings, fasteners, underlayment, trim, and sealants—against leaks or failure due to installation error. If any covered component fails, we repair or replace it at no cost to you, including labor and disposal fees.
How long is the warranty valid for homes in Lancing?
For residential customers in Lancing, the material portion of the warranty is valid for the lifetime of the home (defined as 50 years by most manufacturers), and our workmanship warranty is 25 years from the completion date. Both warranties remain in force as long as the product is properly maintained according to the care guidelines we provide.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my property?
Yes. You may transfer the entire warranty to the first subsequent homeowner within 10 years of the installation date at no charge. After the transfer, material coverage continues for the new owner’s remaining balance of the 50-year term, and workmanship coverage continues for the balance of the 25-year term. We simply require a signed transfer form and proof of ownership change within 60 days of closing.
What is not covered under the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by acts of God such as tornadoes, earthquakes, or hail over 2" in diameter; improper alterations made by others; standing water from faulty gutters; or normal wear unrelated to material defects (e.g., color fading beyond the manufacturer’s stated tolerance). We also exclude damage resulting from neglect—such as allowing moss growth or not clearing debris—because routine maintenance is required to keep the warranty valid.
How do I file a warranty claim if something goes wrong?
Simply call our Lancing office or submit a claim form on our website. We’ll schedule an inspection within five business days. If we confirm the issue is covered, we’ll document it with photos, file the paperwork with the manufacturer (if applicable), and schedule repairs—usually within two weeks. All approved repairs are completed at no cost to you, and you’ll receive a written summary for your records.
Does maintaining my roof or siding affect the warranty?
Yes. While the warranty is comprehensive, it requires homeowners to perform basic maintenance: annual visual inspections, prompt removal of debris, cleaning of gutters, and gentle washing of siding every 18–24 months with mild detergent. You don’t have to hire us for this work, but you must keep receipts or a maintenance log. Neglecting maintenance can void portions of the warranty, so following our care guide is essential to preserve full coverage.
